1400 years of War

The war started in the 7th century and supposedly lasted through the 17thcentury.  I would contend it never stopped if the facts below are correct.

 

This is why I choke when I hear someone say we will defeat or contain these Islamic terrorists in a few years or even 30 years as recently stated by Leon Panetta.

 

If the latest batch of murders, beheadings, and killing of innocent Christians (and other religious minorities) has-shocked you, maybe you should read this compilation of historical facts about the hatred of Muslims.

 

This is all factually (and historically) correct - and verifiable:

In 732 A.D. the Muslim Army, which was moving on Paris,was defeated and turned back at Tours, France, by Charles Martell.

 

In1571 A.D. the Muslim Army/Navy was defeated by the Italians and Austrians as they tried to cross the Mediterranean to attack southern Europe in the Battle of Lapano.

 

In1683 A.D. the Turkish Muslim Army, attacking Eastern Europe, was finally defeated in the Battle of Vienna by German and Polish Christian Armies.

 

This crap has been going on for 1,400 years and half of the politicians don't even know it or prefer to bury their heads in the sand like ostriches whose eyes are bigger than their brains.

 

If These battles had not been won, we might be speaking Arabic and Christianity could be non-existent; Judaism certainly would not exist.

 

Reflecting:

A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves.

 

Pause a moment and reflect back.

These events are actual events from history. They really happened!  Do you remember?:

 

1.In 1968, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male.

 

2.In 1972, at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim males.

 

3.In 1972, a PanAm 747 was hijacked and eventually diverted to Cairo where a fuse was lit on final approach.Shortly after landing it was blown up by Muslim males.

 

4.In 1973, a PanAm 707 was destroyed in Rome,with 33 people killed, when it was attacked with grenades by Muslim males.

 

5.In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim males.

 

6.During the 1980's a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim males.

 

7.In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim males.

8.In 1985, the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70-year old American passenger was  murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim males.

 

9.In 1985, TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens,and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim males.

 

10.In 1988, PanAm Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim males.

 

11.In 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim males.

 

12.In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim males.

 

13.On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was  diverted and crashed by the passengers.Thousands of people were killed by Muslim males.

 

14.In 2002, the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim males.

 

15.In 2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by - you guessed it-  a Muslim male. (Plus two other American journalists were just recently beheaded).

 

16.In 2013, the Boston Marathon Bombing resulted in 4 Innocent people, including a child, being killed plus 264 people injured by Muslim males.

 

17.There were two mass shootings in Paris, France, Charlie Hebdo and the 130 who died last month Muslims, mostly male

 

18.San Bernardino, CA shootings at a Christmas party was perpetrated by a Muslim male and  female, 14 dead many wounded.

 

No Obama, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?

So,to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screener's will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.

 

So,ask yourself "Just how stupid are we???"

Absolutely No Profiling! They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the Obama's security detail, 85-year-old Congressmen with metal hips,and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss,BUT........leave Muslim Males and females in burkas alone lest we be guilty of profiling.

         

Ask yourself, "Just how stupid are we? "Have the American people completely lost their minds or just their Power of Reason???

 

Perhaps we need to send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Allred's and other stupid attorneys, along with Federal Justices, who want to thwart common sense, feel ashamed of themselves -- if they have any such sense

 

As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" so aptly put it,"Stupid Is As Stupid Does.”

 

Each opportunity that you have to send this to a friend or media outlet... Do It!

It Slithered

Darkness caressed it. I heard it before
I saw a piece of it, a bit?
Black & shinny
But so, so cold
It froze the air

Panicking in fear
My heart tearing up my chest
I ripped open my vest
To breathe to swallow
As I heard it's cackles
Raising hackles
On my arms such were it's sucking slithering charms
Turning to dash away
I tripped,
Fell...&
Had to face it
Eye to eye...
It grinned an unholy lopsided way with one red bulbous retina a still darker patina than I thought possible and grew cool, stronger I soon felt the pull,
I couldn't breathe
Staring into my face I can taste Hell's darkest secrets
My leg muscles race
But I'm still, so still no breathing or heartbeats
I'm dead!
Right there on the floor!
Gone dissolved, no more,
In my terrified head
Heavy as lead instead
I knew
as it slid from side to side with a sulfuric stench,
I retched
& gagged, resolved in my comatose fed brain what Was mirrored, sucking clinched to my eye when I flenched as it pinched my nose

It sucked, fed
Wiggled, munched, withered, crunched then slithered down to my toes
I knew without a doubt I was sucked dry for it was in truth a Devil's eye feeding withering searching in cold pursuit through the eire night of Halloween olde for sight of anyone's ashamed& unclaimed unholy weary soul

     Lady Anna Braxton flees to escape an English Lord that wants her for her fortune and property enough to kill her father and brother and force her into an unwanted marriage. She is hiding in the wilds of Scotland when she hears the screams of another woman and goes to her rescue. After her rescue though she finds herself imprisoned in another castle.
     Duncan MacGregor sees the woman rescue his sister before he could get there and is totally enchanted by her beauty and abilities. This woman is very different from all the other women he has ever known. She fought fearlessly and quickly with great skill.  He is amazed but his father the Laird is afraid of her abilities and imprisons her against his son's advice.
    Anna resents her treatment but refuses to tell them anything because she fears that her grandfather could be in danger because of her.
She does find a way to escape and demands an apology for her treatment.
   Anna's bravery only makes Duncan more enchanted by her charms.
Finally, word was given to Laird Kenneth about why Anna was floundering around in the wilds of Scotland alone.  He feels very bad for putting her in prison and vows she will be adopted into his clan as his daughter but Anna isn't convinced. She doesn't trust any of them.
     This is a beautiful story of survival and love. The romance is very erotic and hot too. So you have a great storyline that is interesting and entertaining.
     The other characters have their own personalities too especially Laird Kenneth and his daughter Nessa. Laird Kenneth is thoughtful and protective of his clan and family. He cherishes his wife and daughter. Young Nessa is charming and filled with energy and youthful attention. She feels Anna is her sister truly after her rescue and they grow close.
    Duncan is so in love with Anna you want to bite nails with him over his hidden desire. He tries to win her with all the skills he possesses. He is deliberate and smart with a strong sense of how valuable Anna is as a woman.
      I enjoyed this historical jaunt into the past and recommend it to all lovers of romance and history with a little erotic thrown in for good measure. Enjoy the escape with Anna and escape into Scotland with a Highland romance. I gave it Five Stars for excellence.

I have come to love the gentle and beautiful stories that have evolved from the pen of Ms. Linda Hays-Gibbs and FROST FLOWER, the first book of her Frost Flower series promises to be as beautifully rendered as all of her other beautiful novels.

This is the story of Lady Lina, the daughter of a Duke who thought his baby girl was perfection, however everything she did, how she looked, walked and talked must be perfect as well or she would be severely and horribly punished by her father. Because of how she had been trained from birth to act, she was isolated; shunned by her peers; and labeled an “Ice Princess”.

Unfortunately, Lady Lina doesn't trust men, having been mistreated her entire life by the people who should have loved her – her parents. She decided it was because of all her flaws as she couldn’t speak without stuttering (so she didn’t speak in public); and didn’t smile because she thought her one crooked tooth was horrible.

Lord Baltimore took one look at Lady Lina’s ethereal beauty and fell in love, but soon after because of the rumors of Lady Lina’s arrogance, he was led to believe they were true. After all could the beautiful Lady Lina see in him, after stumbling in their waltz and knowing that at any time he could lose his leg.

What follows is a superb story of two very broken individuals who began a slow road to friendship and understanding, almost to the point of a long awaited marriage proposal. But as always the road to happiness almost never runs smooth and a traitorous act of kidnapping and a loss of memory could very possibly destroy both their chances at a happily-ever-after ending.

Bottom Line: Creative, emotional, and brilliant writing are just some of the things one can look forward to with Ms. Hays-Gibbs FROST FLOWER. And as the first book in her new series I can only hope she continues along this same vein for a long time to come.

     This story must be read after Duke by Day, Rogue by Night, as it is a follower of that great read. The author, Katherine Bone smoothly takes you into a what happened to the poor, dejected, love starved fellow that was wounded unto death in heart and body and abandoned.
     Lieutenant Henry Guffald; now a Captain must prove his worth to himself, Admiral Nelson, and country. He was rejected by his love, Constance and almost by his country. He was a traitor to everyone because of his love for a woman; who could never love him. He vows he will never fall in love again and he will do what is right for God and country; besides his fellow spies. His cronies will see he is capable.
    His mission now is to rescue a fellow spy, Garrick. Guffald must prove he is as good a man, as he was even with his wounds to his body and soul. He should have no problems delivering a ransom for Garrick but a murdering, lying ship stealing pirate puts him in chains and takes over his ship. He is ruined. He is behind time already and if he's not there in time his fellow spy will be killed.
     It's not bad enough that he's, late, lost his ship and crew and put in chains. The pirate is a tiny woman, a cursed beautiful, willful, talented, and kissable woman pirate.
     Lady Seaton has pirates for brothers and one is in chains in Spain. Garrick needs rescuing and she needs to prove to her father and brothers that she is as capable a pirate as they. She decided to capture a British ship and take the ransom for her brother. She is successful and excited but her captive excites her even more. No man ever turned her head much less one she captured . She can't help but notice he is wounded. His eyes tell her about his wounded heart and his limp tells her about his body. She notices that he looks at her with real fire too but was it only anger; when he discovered she was a woman?
     I will not give away any more of this captivating tale of the high seas. You must read it for yourself. It does a lot of twisting and turning that will keep you tuning the pages and guessing.
     This brilliant story makes you anxious for hero and heroine. It's absolutely fabulous and a great follow up for the author. I was intrigued, apprehensive, outraged, and I fell in love with Guffald again.
    Kiddos to Katherine.  It was an excellent read. The character of Guffald deepened and found his legs. You riot fir him to become what you know he could be. The other characters were minor mentions before but they grew especially, Lady Seaton, Garrick's little sister. Lovely, lively, exquisite pirate lady frustrating everyone, as all fall in love with her.
 I gave it Five stars and can't wait for the next book by Katherine .

     Lady Constance Danbury is running away from her father and the old man, Lord Burton, that he wants her to marry so he can avoid financial ruin and debtors prison. She is determined to reach her aunt in Spain to get funds to help her father so she will not have to marry him. Her plans do not go as she wished. On her ship she is overtaken by pirates and one particular one that takes her captive. He has a patch over one eye but still a handsome face and body even if he is a killer. Her Lieutenant Guffald, her friend  was supposed to keep her safe especially from pirates as they killed her mother. Her maid, acting as her mother and protector, Mrs. Mortimer tries her best to defend her too. Her fate is taken out of their hands by this barbarous pirate.
     Thomas Sexton is a pirate in the employ of Captain Frink for murder and mayhem. He is despicable but he hides his other identities of a spy and flamboyant Lord Percy in service for King and country. He is captivated by the cargo of the ship when he sees Constance. His plans all go out the window. He us trying to find the murderer if his young sister among the pirates and other nasty persons.
    This delightful tale keeps you guessing. You can't guess who is bad and who is good plus some very torrid love scenes leading up to it all. They captivate your attention too.
 I must refuse to give more away but to say you will enjoy it is putting it mildly. I loved it. I couldn't put it down. The plot was well structured and well thought out. I loved the twists and turns and how it led you deeper and deeper into the mystery. Just when you thought all was saved something else would happen and take a different turn. The villains were true to their evilness. I found the characters true to their beliefs and horrible fellows as they ought to be. This story has an exciting and surprising ending.
   I recommend this romance heartily.
I gave it five stars for the plot and characters were exceptional.
    I know the writing is the kind of story I love. If you like romantic Regency historical novels, you will thoroughly enjoy this book too.

Review: Frost Flower

Today I am reviewing the latest sweetheart of a romance from Linda Hays-Gibbs.  This lovely writer writes sweetheart romances set in the Regency era with fair damsels and manly heroes.  If you haven't had the pleasure of reading any of her books in the past, you'll definitely want to give her a try.  I find her books to be sweet and cleansing to the palette.  

Frost Flower

Lord Baltimore believes Lady Lina cannot love him if he is not a whole man. He could lose his leg any day, as it will not heal. She didn't like it when he stumbled in the waltz, much less if he cannot waltz at all.

Lina doesn’t believe she can love any man. They are all brutes that hurt her, besides her flaws are so horrible. She cannot speak without stuttering and her teeth are horrible when she smiles. Lord Baltimore deserves a beautiful countess for his Earldom.

They are both broken in different ways and must find the love to heal their hearts and bodies.

My Review:

Frost Flower is a tender, heart-string tugging tale of two people meant to be together.  Lady Crystallina seems almost too good to be true.  Not only is she the daughter of a duke and an heiress in her own right, but she is the most beautiful woman to ever grace society's polished ballroom floors.  Yet, as we all know, looks can too often be deceiving.  Beneath the delicate beauty Lina hides years of systematic abuse and neglect from her parents.  She is terrified of being out in society and easily bruised by their cruel and callous words.  She would flee and hide herself forever in the country if not for a pushy and hateful companion and a rather persistent suitor.

Robert, Earl of Baltimore is no stranger to pain.  After being held as a prisoner of war and tortured into near madness, most days it is all he can do to walk without a limp.  Although he knows his duty, he had no intention of courting for a wife...until he spies the magnificent Crystalline across a crowded ballroom.  He knows her reputation for being cold and haughty, yet despite this he finds he simply must dance with her, only to find the rumors true.  When he shares his opinion with a group of friends in her hearing, he cannot bear knowing he hurt her and begins to court her in earnest.  Loving the shy, sweet Lina is no hardship.  He falls...and he falls hard.

Although Lina had never intended to marry, she finds herself charmed and enchanted by Robert.  He is kind and generous where her family only showed her cruelty and disdain.  She begins to feel beautiful in her own right under his loving tutelage.  His courtship is tender and loving.  No one has ever made her feel so important and beloved.  Sadly, a woman possessing such beauty and wealth engenders more enemies than friendships.  An enemy will crawl out of the woodwork, determined to get her vengeance on the delicate lady and tear her from the arms of her beloved forever.  Robert will have to fight for her against all odds.  Pride, sanity, health - these obstacles are nothing in the face of true love.

This is a very sweet love story.  The focus is largely on the main characters, although a few friends become very much in the spotlight as the tale unfolds.  Lina is a sweet girl, without a vain bone in her body and with too much self-doubt at times.  You have to love Robert for his devotion and dedication of nothing else.  When most men would run off in the face of such odds, he never gives up on his Lina.  This story is completely clean, as well, so you should feel comfortable for you teens to nibble on this story, as well.  If you like the heat rating extra high in your books, this sweetheart of a tale probably isn't something you want to pick up.  If, however, you want a sweet confection of a love story reminiscent of fated lovers meant to be together against all odds, you'll love this book.
